Challenge Accepted: Issues Facing Legal Marketing Teams

Have you spent time in or around the legal profession? If so, you ‘ve probably heard your fair share of lawyer jokes.

Unfortunately, most jokes about lawyers do not paint attorneys in a great light. The underlying assumption is that lawyers are, at best, boring and, at worst, crooks.

So, when it comes to developing a marketing campaign for a law office, marketers have their work cut out for them. Prospective customers already have preconceived notions about lawyers.

A good marketer’s job will be to undermine those assumptions and show the value of sound legal advice.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the challenges facing marketers for legal teams. Once we identify the challenges, we can develop a strategy for overcoming them.

The Legal Marketing Industry is Fairly New
For most consumer products, marketing and advertising have been around for a long time. This is not the case with the legal profession.

State bar associations once considered it unethical for attorneys to promote their services. This standard stayed in place until the 1976 Supreme Court case Bates vs. State Bar of Arizona. In this case, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of lawyers’ rights to advertise their services in a truthful manner.

Since that ruling, lawyers have had the same liberty to advertise as any other business. While this created new opportunities for lawyers, it also means that there is a history of legal marketing strategies to draw on.

This foundation challenge presents different difficulties for legal marketers.

Clients Lack Knowledge of the Legal Industry
Every marketer struggles with customer education to some extent. But this is especially challenging for marketers in the legal industry.

Usually, when a person needs a lawyer, they are in a vulnerable position. Perhaps they’re getting divorced or making a personal injury claim.

To reach clients in these situations, marketers must communicate the value of an attorney. Additionally, they must set the clients at ease, and help them develop trust in the legal team.

A great way for lawyers to meet this challenge. Strategies like blogging and social media engagement can be effective. These approaches make knowledge of the legal industry accessible to customers.

Technology has Shifted Marketing Strategies
Another challenge facing legal marketers is adapting to evolving marketing practices.

Let’s look at an example. In the past, if someone wanted to find a Charlotte criminal lawyer, they would probably start with the yellow pages. Or, they would talk to folks in their personal network, and look for recommendations.

Times have changed. These days, most folks would use a search engine as their first approach to finding an attorney.

So, in order for lawyers to get clients, they need to make sure that clients can find them. This means building a robust online presence that will find and connect with.

Do not Forget Your Ground Game
Social media is good to talk about because it’s accessible anywhere, but the soul of fashion marketing is still on the ground.

So go to trade shows, fashion shows, and make connections.

Showcase your collection. Do a trunk show. Co-sponsor an event.

The key is to have your digital marketing game set up so that you can face in the digital space with website, email, social media, and so forth.

The ground game is an opportunity for people to get a tactile experience, see the product, touch the product-and also an opportunity for you to have the product engage in an ongoing dialogue with the brand before they buy.

What Is Fashion Marketing? That’s up to You
With this much competition, the most important thing is to stand out. Take risks.

Some brands do their marketing through e-mail only. Some do massive stunts.

Others simply stand by their terrific product, tour the country doing shows, and rely on word of mouth.

How to Build a Quality Culture in Your Radiology Practice

How to Build a Quality Culture in Your Radiology Practice

On Building Cultural Quality in Your Radiology Practice

Beyond metrics, radiological practice requires a quality culture that fosters the safety and care of clients. Here’s what you need to know to achieve it.
Building a successful radiology team can be a challenge in itself, right?

You focus on helping your patients become healthier. You also focus on keeping your team safe.

But you can not do it all by yourself.

You need to build a culture that encourages your team to perform as per their potential. It does not have to be difficult. The tips in this post will help you build a better team and save more lives.

Protect Staff
In most cases, radiological practice focuses heavily on patient protection. This is understandable right? After all, our patient entrusts us to their health. Our job is to keep them safe

But what about the staff?

While ensuring the safety of your patients, you also need to ensure the safety of your radiologist and doctor. Your staff must be sure that you are doing everything possible to protect them.

This means you should be aware of the exact collimation, positioning, and angle radiology equipment. It is important to make sure you reduce the amount of exposure your staff has. You also need to make sure your staff has the right protective equipment.

Warning signs are also important. It is helpful to remind staff about what they should do to be safe.

This is the key to a safe working radiology work environment. Along with providing reminders and protective equipment to your staff, the Radiology practice management services you need to ensure they are educated as possible. Protective equipment and warning signs will not be of much use if they do not know how to actively assure their safety.

Another useful idea is to implement programs that encourage staff to report inappropriate readings. You can even include awards for those with the most exams. You should also apply a minimum level of peer review participation.

Hold a peer peer review conference with your staff. Use this to allow your staff the opportunity to learn more of the learning opportunities they find.

It may be difficult to get team members to report the team’s mistakes. That’s why you want to create a safe environment where team members can share an opportunity area for your organization.

The Role of the Charles Darwin Foundation

The Role of the Charles Darwin Foundation

The Galapagos Islands have become a highly aspirational destination for wildlife lovers and those interested in the history and geology of our planet. Thousands of visitors arrive every year to embark on a wildlife cruise in Galapagos, for the opportunity to encounter the unique species of flora and fauna for which it has become famous.
There are few places more important than this remote archipelago in terms of evolutionary biology. It is here that British naturalist Charles Darwin arrived in 1835 (as part of his five-year voyage of discovery) to collect and study the specimens that would lead to the formulation of his theory of natural selection. In fact, it’s possible that the rest of the world would never even have heard of the region had it not been for the monumental discoveries of Darwin, which revolutionised our understanding of the natural world.

The Charles Darwin Foundation

In 1959, a team of conservationists established the Charles Darwin Foundation to “provide unique scientific solutions” to protect and preserve the islands. The foundation is a not-for-profit organisation working closely with the Ecuadorian government to promote and secure the conservation of the habitat and wildlife of the islands.

With the support of UNESCO, almost 60 years later the dedicated team at the foundation continues to work to raise awareness on a local and global level of the need to conserve this unique and fascinating area.

The Research Station

At some point in their itinerary, every visitor on a wildlife cruise in Galapagos will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz. Established in 1964, the station is administered by the CDF and operates as an active breeding centre for the Giant Tortoises, one of the highest-profile animals in the archipelago. Visitors can see the tortoises at every stage of their growth – from hatchlings to the massive full-grown adults.

The valuable research undertaken by scientists, naturalists and conservationists at the CDRS includes specimen collection and archival work, monitoring wild populations, breeding programmes, and developing innovations into the sustainability of the region.

The National Park Directorate

The Galapagos National Park Directorate (GNPD) began operating in 1968, working with the foundation to establish the 14 rules of sustainability and responsibility, which all visitors are expected to respect. Working together, the GNPD and the CDF discovered the last remaining Giant Tortoise on Pinta Island, who came to be known as Lonesome George.

Other Work

Some of the other important conservation projects the CDF has helped to facilitate over the past 60 years include:

? The recognition by UNESCO of the GNP as a Natural Heritage Site for Humanity and a Biosphere Reserve ? Establishment of a scholarship for Ecuadorian students, many of whom have gone on to work on local conservation projects in the archipelago ? Repatriation and breeding programme for the Land Iguana ? Launch of Project Isabela (which covered the restoration of Isabela and Pinta ? Establishment of the Environmental Education Centres on Santa Cruz, Isabela and San Cristobel ? Successful extension of the World Heritage designation to encompass the Marine Reserve

Recognition of Service

The valuable work of the CDF has been recognised by a slew of international conservation awards, including the prestigious BBVA award from Spain and the Cosmos International Award from Japan. In addition it has been bestowed with the highest honour of Distinguished Achievement in Biology from the Society of Conservation.

Support for Conservation

Those who explore the region on a wildlife cruise in Galapagos can be confident that supporting sustainable ecotourism to the region helps to raise awareness of the valuable work undertaken by the CDF and the other agencies that administer the islands. If visitors commit to travelling mindfully and respecting the rules of the GNPD throughout their stay, this “living laboratory” will survive for future generations to enjoy.

Will luxury yachting go green

Will luxury yachting go green

Driven by electric propulsion and a radical aesthetic, the EAU concept electric luxury yacht by Tjep, reimagines a cleaner future for the luxury yacht industry…
The impact of leisure boating on marine environments is a well-documented problem. Even as regulations seek to alleviate the issue, engine emissions and the incorrect disposal of waste by yachts contribute to marine pollution. Dutch designer Frank Tjepkema proposes to veto this with the introduction of the EAU concept electric luxury yacht.

Considering the growing projection of the automobile industry towards electrically-operated vehicles, Frank anticipates the same influence in the yacht building industry. He prophesies that although the pace of progress is extremely low, developments in areas such as electric cargos, hydrogen trucks and electric cars (TESLA) will find their way to the luxury yacht industry ultimately, by increasing the availability of large volume on-board electricity storage and charging points in ports. In such a scenario, questions Frank, “Would it not be nice if the leisure category, where there’s an abundance of capital, would lead the way? Why should enjoyment be combined with heavy pollution?”

Taking a step in the desired direction, Frank has conceptualised EAU to precision – at a length of 63 m, width of 13.5 m and beam of 18 m. Designed to have 100% electric propulsion with a speed of 25 knots, the yacht will host 12 cabins, a swimming pool and a helipad, its hull and superstructure crafted from aluminium. The future for a green yacht industry looks bright since Tjep. has been shortlisted for Yacht Concept over 40 Metres Award in The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2018.

But, the EAU yacht isn’t just at the technological frontier of this industry; it also floats aesthetic qualities that represent the ultimate in cleanliness. Pushing simplicity and refinement to its limit, the design is inspired by the qualities of water. The design’s most striking element is a water droplet-shaped wheelhouse that floats like an abstract sculpture above the deck. The yacht also uses familiar elements from traditional yacht craftsmanship, such as the way in which wooden planks form the layered lines along the hull of wooden ships.

7 Plants that Improve the Air Quality of Your Home

Dark gray smoke clouds emitted from tall buildings, surrounded by a never-ending stream of cars and trucks.

That’s the image that the average person will be cyclical about when asked to describe air pollution.

Although this air pollution picture is true and threatening, many people do not realize that it does not accurately describe the worst air quality you may experience every day.

So where is the worst air quality?

Maybe in your own living room.

Right. Your own simple living quarters can be contaminated with stagnant and poorly ventilated air. Trapped without a place to go, this air creates havoc on your home and your health with invisible clouds of toxicity.

In fact, according to the EPA, indoor air pollution levels are generally 2 to 5 times greater than outdoor pollution levels. Unsuspecting perpetrators such as furniture, candles, air fresheners, household cleaners containing chemicals, and even all printers combine to make your home a pollution playground.

The sad news: is there any way to fix it?

Yes! This is Mother Nature to save her.

Apparently, there are several types of plants that can act as natural air filters for your home!

How?

When plants absorb carbon dioxide, they also give us the main solid by taking some other nasty particles out of the air at the same time. Small microbes present in certain plant soils also work to clear the air, according to NASA.

Not to mention the plants also make some nice home decor.

Let’s look at the top seven plants that produce the best natural air filter.

1. Boston Fern
Boston ferns reign supreme when dealing with formaldehyde, a by-product of cleaners and chemical paints, among others.

And it’s also a beautiful killer job in handling benzene and xylene, the pollutants that are in the car’s crawling exhaust inside the house from the attached garage.

The plants are a little high maintenance, but caring for them can certainly be done.

They like moisture and prefer watering on ordinary food. This can be daily, depending on the moisture and moisture levels in your home.

Boston fern grows with high humidity, indirect light, and a good soak a month.

2. Spider Plants
If you are just beginning to test your green thumbs, spider plants are a great place to start. Honestly, you should try to kill this plant.

Spider plants do a great job in combating some of the most common domestic air pollutants such as benzene, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide and xylene, solvents used in the printing, rubber and leather industries.

These plants are also pet friendly and almost easy to grow back because they stay alive. All you need to do is cut one of the “spiders” and put it in a new pot.

Spider plants like cool to warm temperatures, indirect sunlight, and dry soil.

3. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is one plant that has so many superpowers that practically deserves its own post.

This easy-to-grow relief helps your home say goodbye to formaldehyde and benzene.

It can do more than just clean the air.

Aloe vera can also help heal wounds and burns, soothes skin irritation, reduces constipation, moisturizes hair and scalp, aids digestion, and boosts the immune system. All you have to do is open one of the leaves and utilize the gel inside.

In fact, people have used the magical power of aloe vera for thousands of years. The Egyptians even refer to it as “the plant of immortality.”

This hardworking factory loves the sun and makes perfect pieces of decoration on the coffee table or kitchen window.

4. Peace Lily
Do not be confused with his name. This plant is something that is not peaceful when it comes to eliminating harmful air pollutants.

Peaceful daffodils are able to eliminate the three most volatile organic compounds (VOCs) – formaldehyde, benzene, and trichloroethylene, and also do considerable work against the toluene and xylene, compounds found in many household products.

Another relatively low-maintenance plant, peaceful lilies just need a little shade and weekly watering to flourish. Moreover, this plant gives you a friendly warning when it needs watering by sagging its lids.

Realize, however, that leaves can be toxic to pets and children.

5. Chrysanthemum
Want to give your home a splash of color?

Enter the chrysanthemum. Plant

7 Ways to Tell if It’s a Timeshare Scam

Some timeshare scam artists go to great lengths to pull one over on timeshare owners. Do not fall victim to their trap.

Stay one step ahead of these con artists. Check out these 7 ways to tell if someone is trying to scam you for your timeshare!

7 Ways to Tell if it’s a Timeshare Scam
1. You Were Contacted With a Timeshare Offer Out of the Blue

The first sure sign of a timeshare scam is if you are contacted with an unsolicited offer.

If you’re advertising that your timeshare is up for rent or sale, of course, it makes sense that you will receive inquiries. However, legitimate companies will not contact you out of the blue with offers to rent or sell your timeshare.

This means that if you get an unexpected phone call from someone you’ve never heard of before asking if you want to rent or sell your timeshare, it’s likely a timeshare scam.

While they may have detailed information about their ownership, do not let this convince you that they are legitimate.

A lot of timeshare ownership information is easily available to the public, which means you can find out where you own, what you own, or even how long you’ve owned the timeshare for.

2. You Were Invited to a Seminar

In order to make one quick, big score, timeshare scam artists are desperate to gather as many timeshare owners as they can at once.

These scam artists rent a room at a local hotel and send out postcards to “invite” you to a presentation. This presentation is said to help you get more money out of your timeshare ownership through listing it for sale, renting it, donating it to charity, etc.

Scammers know you ‘re open to attending such events / presentations since that is likely the way you bought your timeshare, to begin with.

After they get your money, however, they’ll likely disappear, never to be heard from again.

3. You’re Offered More Money for Your Timeshare Than Your Asking Price

While not ideal, it’s the hard truth that timeshares do not make a great investment for owners that are hoping to sell for more than they paid.

The fact is that there are too many units available. These units are being sold by a bunch of pushy developers that have greater access to potential buyers.

This means that you can get a lot of money from you.

4. There’s an Interested Anonymous Buyer

Has someone in particular contacted you with a hot buyer who is “very interested” in purchasing your timeshare?

Watch out, this is probably a scammer.

If you ‘re being told that all you have to do is send the money for “closing costs,” do not believe it.

5. Online Complaints and / or Bad Rating

Hopefully, you take the name of the person and / or company that you’re considering to sell, donate, or rent your timeshare to.

Now, take the time to type it into a search engine and read up. Specifically, try typing in the name followed by the word “complaints” to see what you get.

This is a good way to find out if they have been posted in forums and complaint boards regarding their scammer experience.

Also, check to see if the person and / or company has a bad rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

If the company has been earning a bad reputation, this is one of the best ways to find that out and uncover the truth.

The BBB is one of the most trusted sources of information about business and their reputations. Additionally, it’s one of the first places angry customers will go if they feel they’ve been scammed.

Learn from their mistakes through these quick searches.

6. They Want Money Upfront

You may be contacted by someone who wants money up front to “list” your timeshare.

They’ll tell you that for $ 600, $ 800, $ 2500, etc., they will happily “list” your timeshare for sale. Even if they do take your money and list your timeshare for sale, it will be in a place where virtually no one will buy it.

Only, they will not tell you that last part!

The demand for upfront payment can come in many other forms as well.

Con artists will not always be clear about the cost, so beware. Some may string you along explicitly stating that they’re not any upfront fees.

All the while they may be asking that funds be deposited into an “escrow account.” They will still be doing so without any intention of ever returning your funds.

7. You’re Asked for a Money Order or Wire Transfer

The biggest tip for timeshare sales, rentals, or donations is to not deal with anyone who requires payment upfront in a form that removes any chance that you can stop payment or protect yourself in the event that the promised service is never delivered.

If the person and / or company requires payment by money order or bank wire transfer, this is a huge red flag. Someone is likely trying to

Should you fix or change your driveway?

Should you fix or change your driveway?

Your asphalt road can contribute or reduce the attractiveness of your goods.

When the driveway is in top condition, the overall appearance of your property increases, and driving on it is smooth and pleasant.

On the downside, a damaged or old road will devalue your property, and a large gap may serve as a hiding place for insects and lizards.

So, your asphalt road continues to experience loopholes and holes, have you contacted a professional repairman to patch it or it’s time to replace it all?

In this post, we share tips on how to find out when to change or fix your entrance.

Let’s go inside.

You Make More Repairs Often than You Want
The asphalt entrance is not built to last forever.

Over time, wear shake, so the entrance begins to collapse or develop cracks here and there. In this case, there is no harm in calling a technician to fix the problem.

However, when you find that you frequently make repairs and the associated costs are out of control, it’s time to tear the entire entryway and install a new one.

The Highway You Have Spend The Life Expectancy
The average length of time that can be entered depends on a number of factors, including building materials, installation quality and climate.

For example, while a brick entrance can last up to 50 years or more, the life of the asphalt road is limited to about 20 years.

If your asphalt road has been around for two decades, you will definitely be tired or run out of money to fix it every time a crack occurs.

After at least 20 years of faithful service, say goodbye to the driveway of your old house and start preparing to replace the asphalt.

You Prepare to Sell Your Property
When selling a home, every homeowner focuses on taking the maximum value in the market.

To increase the visual appeal of the property and increase your chances of getting the best deal, you must make the necessary improvements.

The driveway, which usually occupies an empty area, should be somewhere between your first target.

But, if you already have some loopholes that are patched, then it is in your best interests to replace instead of making improvements.

A patched driveway will frighten potential buyers and make an appraiser to drop a few thousand dollars from the value of the property.

Professional Professional Asphalt Replacement Says It Has Been Going
If you are not an asphalt coating specialist and asphalt replacement, it may be difficult to determine whether your drives need to be repaired or replaced.

So when you call the contractor to check the driveway and say that the condition is irreparable, you have no choice but to prepare to replace the asphalt.
